Baby Sensory is designed for babies from birth to 13 months of age.

Each class lasts for one hour, and follows your baby's natural play-rest-play cycle.  We spend 30 minutes carrying out some gorgeous developmental activities, followed by a rest break where you get the chance to head over to our exploratory play area, the perfect opportunity to chat with the other parents and carers,  before taking your place again for the final 15 minutes of activities.  All designed to ensure your baby does not get over-stimulated.

Each class costs £7.50 and is payable in advance for the term or the remaining classes left in the term.

Classes take place in Spondon, Little Eaton, Littleover and Hilton.

Our Frequently Asked Questions below can help with any queries you may have, but if you have any other questions, please do get in touch.

Q: What happens in a Baby Sensory session?

A: Each week you'll enjoy an hour of sensory fun with a fresh theme – exploring underwater worlds, relaxing under jungle canopies, having a teddy bear’s picnic, or venturing into space. There's also a chance to chat with other parents in the amazing exploratory play area, because we know how valuable social time is for you too.

Q: Will I learn anything from the sessions?

A: Absolutely! With 35 years of expert knowledge built into our lessons, you'll gain plenty of insights. Every activity is designed with your baby's development in mind, and you’ll leave with new ideas to keep the learning going at home.

Q: Is my baby too young to join?

A: Baby Sensory is perfect for babies from birth. The first three months of life are critical for brain development, and our classes offer a nurturing, stimulating environment that supports this growth. All activities are safe and specifically tailored for newborns, with guidance on how to continue age-appropriate play at home.

Q: Is it just for mums?

A: Not at all! Our classes are open to dads, grandparents, relatives, and caregivers, which creates a welcoming, inclusive environment for everyone.  And partners are always welcome to come along too!  There are always chairs available.

Q: My baby has special needs – is Baby Sensory suitable?

A: Yes, definitely. Our sessions are designed for all babies, and we can make adjustments if needed. Please reach out so we can discuss how to best support you and your baby in getting the most out of the experience.

Q: What if my baby needs to feed or sleep during the class?

A: Feel free to breastfeed or bottle-feed wherever you’re comfortable – either at your mat or on a chair if you prefer. If your baby falls asleep, stay put or move to a chair as you wish. Even while asleep, babies absorb at least 80% of their surroundings, so your little one will still benefit from the sensory experience, while you can focus on learning tips to use when they’re awake.

Q: Is my baby too old for Baby Sensory?

A: As long as your baby is under 13 months old at the start of the term, Baby Sensory is perfect for you!

Q: My baby is crawling or walking – can we still attend?

A: Absolutely! Our 0-13 month classes are perfect for you to join! Babies who are on the move enjoy the sessions just as much. While they may spend some time in the exploratory play area, they'll quickly return to participate in activities that catch their interest.

Q: When can I join a class?

A: You can join at any time, as long as there are spaces available. Each week is unique, so there's no need to wait for a new term to start. If you join mid-term, you'll only be charged for the remaining weeks.
