Welcome to Mini Professors, a science programme designed specifically for Nursery, Pre-School and KS1/2 children. We are passionate about science and we make science enjoyable for pre-school, nursery and primary children. Mini Professors classes provide a warm and welcoming environment in which young children can explore and marvel at science.
We hold separate sessions for 2-4 year olds and 4-7 year olds. Every class is different with a new and exciting topic being taught each week, meaning both you and your little one can attend for 2 years and experience something new every week. We cover everything from polymers to dinosaurs, maths to tropical rainforests and much, much more!
Each Mini Professors class provides a warm and welcoming environment in which children can not only explore and marvel at science but also engage in many life skills, such as asking and answering questions, turn taking, sharing and socialising. Our Mini Professors get to wear their own mini lab coats and learn about the basic principles of scientific experimentation whilst having lots of fun.
Enjoyed our venue classes? Our @Home classes are also available seasonally and suitable for children aged between 2 - 8 years. Why not give them a try... they are great fun and value for the whole family!

A typical 40-minute class begins with our Mini Professors Welcome Song and an introduction to today's topic using pictures and props. This is followed by our first experiment, where we encourage our Mini Professors and their grownups to join in, perhaps getting a little messy along the way! Next we have a short video and story related to the scientific topic, followed with another fantastic science experiment. At the end of the lesson we summarise what we've learnt before ending with the Mini Professors Goodbye Song and, very importantly, each child receives a sticker!
